Taking a break from Charice to bring Super Junior M's new music video "到了明天 (Blue Tomorrow)".
I cannot help it but every time when I listen to this song now, I am reminded of Mi's cracked voice and Kyu laughing his head off... Damn you, Kyu!
Geng ah! No need to cry. I will buy you more sparklers next time and we can set things on fire together - preferably with seasoned chicken and beef over hot charcoal 8D
Siwon looks like an uncle.
Siwon looks like an uncle!
SIWON LOOKS LIKE AN UNCLE!
I am still laughing over that.
...
Nope. Still laughing.
They always seem to be stuck in suits/half-suits with bow ties/ties and exceptionally unflattering pants that even my dad would not be caught dead in. As Ris Low would say, "Those pants are SHINGZ."
In 2008, Charice was invited to The Paul O'Grady's Show in London.
After which, OPRAH happened. Her 1st appearance there, she sang "I Have Nothing".
Her 2nd appearance, she sang the classic "My Heart Will Go On" (cue all the titanic fans) with accompaniment by the renowned music producer David Foster on piano. But that is not all that Oprah has in store for her. Her dream of singing with Celine Dion was fulfilled as they crooned "Because You Loved Me" together for her mother at Madison Square Garden.Earlier this year, Charice released her 1st US single "Note To God" produced by David Foster and written by legendary Diane Warren.
She was also personally invited to Italy by Andrea Bocelli for a duet of "The Prayer".
In the next part, we will have more Italy, Michael Jackson's tribute and back to the country she calls home.
There is going to be a MAJOR Charice Pempengco-pimpage coming because rewatching that clip of her singing with Kyuhyun led to more watching and that girl truly has an amazing voice and great stage presence of a future diva (at times, it overshadows the people around her).
Charice Pempengco (17) of The Philippines was introduced to the rest of the world through the wonders of YouTube when videos of her younger self singing were uploaded by an avid supporter, FalseVoice. Due to his efforts, she was then scouted for an album recording in Sweden, appeared in South Korea's famous talent show "Star King" and it BOOMZ from there.
Ironically, a clip of her 9-year old self was aired on one of the Japanese variety show.
Her 1st appearance on Star King in 2007 singing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and the unforgettable "A Whole New World" duet with Super Junior's Kyuhyun (who at the time was still recovering from a major car accident).
Her 2nd appearance on Star King at the end of the same year being one of the "Most Requested Foreign Act". She sang "I Will Survive" and a duet of "I Will Always Love You" with Lena Park.
In between those two, she was invited by Ellen DeGeneres to appear on her show.
Coming up next, Paul O'Grady, Oprah Winfrey and dream collaborations with some of the most talented singers and music producers in the world.

To one of the biggest boyband in the world (like seriously 13+2 is no small number),
슈퍼주니어 4주년 축하합니다!!!
The first time I learned about Super Junior came from Kia about 2 years ago. She tried to convert me but to no avail because my stubborn stance was "Only Arashi". I was then exposed to their music performance (i think it was "u") in the now-defunct Mise. My initial impression of them is typical of a non-Kpop follower, which many can vouch for, is rather unflattering and mean (or as rinjin would remind me oh-so-often, "you're such an asshole."):
1) "Woah! Can the group get any BIGGER?"
2) "Bwahahaha! They have a fat one in there."
3) "Poor fat one! The camera barely even focus on him before it moves on to the other members."
To Shindong, I sincerely apologise. You are a bigger person than I will ever be (no pun intended).
Fast-forward to end of last year when I got interested to learn more about of Korean music due to (shochi's imitation of wondergirls and) Big Bang. Janjan was in town and I had to study for JLPT (yeah right! you know i usually winged it). Since we set our laptops side-by-side, I was simultaneously watching Big Bang and a show called "Exploration of the Human Body". I did not know any of the members but I distinctively remembered one of them had really nice abs.
Earlier this year after a night-out with Kia (who was still trying to convert me) and Zu, they subjected me to a marathon of "Full House" and "We Got Married". By the next morning, I could more or less pick out the chinaman, the diva, the gorgeous, the smart ass, the cute, the weird-looking and the bear.
Due to my chinaman/gorgeous-bias, I was recommended the sub-unit "Super Junior M" (ah! all the controversy that surrounds them) with the snarky, the tiny, the violin kid and the other chinaman. Once I figured that out, it was a matter of eliminating the leftover members: the dimpled leader, the lee jun ki lookalike, the fat one as i already know.
Feeling very satisfied with myself, I forgot there is still ONE left - the act cute, loves pink, reminds me of a bunny and because of that, he is still known as "WHO" to me.
My wish for Super Junior is simply for them to continue doing whatever they enjoy without feeling pressured by the society or ELFs. I hope to attend one of their Super Show soon.
PS. I remember watching this particular Star King for Charice Pempengco and barely acknowledging the group of guys in there haha.
A whole new world with you
